Tom Boonen (Quick Step) won the sprint for the fifth stage of the Tour of Qatar. Yesterday he reached a maximum speed of 72.8km/h on his BBB computer, close to his fastest ever sprint at 74km/h. Boonen caught up with the leading group and sprinted to victory.

Wouter Mol (Vacansoliel) finished with the lead group and retained the leaders jersey. BBB helmets and sportsglasses on 1st and 3rd rank in the overall standings!
